The purpose of kbz.se is to be a place that:
features only great games
is accessible for a modern web & mobile based world
doesn't have any of the things you don't want (ads, microtransactions and other kinds of abuse)
is in it for the long term
I believe we show this in practice by having games that start fast and require no installation (
blogpost), doing our best to function on both new and old devices, both mobiles and computers, and on all web browsers (blogpost

2), not relying on a business model to exist (we only pay for hosting and none of the games require maintenance to work -
blogpost), producing our own games to ensure their quality (
blogpost), etc...
Why did I start kbz.se? Because I was tired of how complicated gaming was in the early 2020s. There was no easy and cheap way to find something in between large 100-hour games and hyper-casual mobile (and ad-filled) games, and I also wanted to make games that combined storytelling, technology and art in a way I hadn't seen very much of. I thought a place like this should exist, so I created it.
