Did you notice how you never saw any "cookie consent" popup when you visited kbz.se?
That's because as long as we only collect user data strictly necessary to run the site's services, we don't need to show it. We only use cookies for save functions in the games, which are needed for the games to work properly, and other than that we don't collect any user data.
Now, think of how many sites you visit regularly who show the cookie consent popup (at least in 2025 when this was written). Then remind yourself that they don't need to do that as soon as they collect user data about you, they only need it when they collect unnecessary data about you. That's how much they want your personal information! It's easy to think the cookie consent popup is mandatory since most websites show it, but it's not at all.
Now go do your part, and create a website that provides for the user instead of abusing the user, and embrace other sites who do the same! (Maybe even uninstall that browser extension blocking GDPR popups so you naturally start visiting popup-free websites more, and rightfully penalize websites who collect unnecessary data?)
